Overview: Space Stem partnered with a prestigious NGO, which holds Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations, to create a comprehensive digital solution. The NGO’s mission is to support the education of underprivileged children, and they needed a robust platform to streamline their donation process and loan services.
We developed a website and cross-platform mobile app (built using Flutter) that allows donors to contribute to the education of children, track donations, and allocate support. The platform also offers an administrative portal for managing donor-child connections and loan applications for students in need of financial assistance for higher education.
Challenges: Our client required a solution that could:
- Provide an easy-to-use platform for donors to register, select donation frequency, and donate seamlessly (Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly).
- Track donations and connect donors with children in need of educational support.
- Allow underprivileged students to apply for interest-free education loans.
- Enable students to manage loan repayments and perform loan reconciliation easily through the platform.
- Equip administrators with a dashboard to view donation statistics, donor profiles, and student allocation reports.
Our Solution:
Space Stem created a website and a Flutter-based mobile app with the following key features:
- Donor Registration & Donation Management: Donors can easily register and select their preferred donation frequency (Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly). They can track their contributions and receive updates on the child they are supporting.
- Admin Portal: A comprehensive backend system that allows administrators to:
- Allocate students to donors based on donations received.
- View dashboard reports showing total donors, donations (country-wise breakdown), total students (allocated and unallocated), and other key statistics.
- Student Loan Application Module: Underprivileged students with a strong academic record but lacking financial resources can apply for interest-free higher education loans. Administrators can approve or reject these applications based on submitted details.
- Loan Repayment System: Students can manage their loan repayments directly through the platform, ensuring financial transparency and easy management of educational loans, including reconciliation through a bulk import feature for efficient tracking
Results: By implementing this system, our NGO client was able to:
